In a bid to encourage employers and employees to embrace the concept of home-working, the government has introduced changes to the flexible working legislation.
The new legislation that was introduced at the end of June, advocated that any employee who has worked for an establishment for a minimum of 26 weeks is eligible for flexible working hours.
The boom in flexible working has catalysed among the office-type occupations, however it can present some hurdles between employers and employees.
If working from home is something that you have considered, you should first reflect on whether or not it is suitable towards your occupation; homeworking isn’t suitable for certain roles.
